The History of B&D Warehouse
B&D Warehouse opened its doors in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin, in 1950 and moved to Green Bay, WI in 1968 opening a 20,000-square-foot facility. Founded on the principles of hard work, reliability, and customer service, the company quickly earned the trust of local businesses that needed a dependable partner to store and protect their products. From the very beginning, the mission was simple: provide safe, flexible, and efficient warehousing solutions tailored to each customer’s needs.
As the years went on, B&D Warehouse grew alongside its customers. The company steadily expanded its capabilities, adding modern equipment, updated facilities, and additional space to accommodate a wide range of industries. By focusing on industries central to Wisconsin’s economy such as paper manufacturing, converting, printing, plastics, and packaging. B&D established itself as a trusted logistics partner for both small businesses and large corporations. Each expansion reflected the same family-driven commitment to service that was there in the beginning.

Today, B&D Warehouse has grown from its single original building into nearly 475,000 square feet of general merchandise and food-grade warehousing across multiple facilities in Green Bay and Wausau. The company’s services now extend far beyond storage, offering value-added solutions such as labeling, transloading, cross-docking, and even damage and load-shift repair. These additions have allowed B&D to serve customers with greater efficiency and flexibility, making it a vital part of their supply chains.
Now led by third-generation owner Tim Daanen, B&D Warehouse remains proud of its roots while looking to the future. The same principles that guided the business back in 1950 still hold true today: treat every product as if it were your own, and never stop improving to meet customer needs. With that spirit, B&D Warehouse continues to grow, evolve, and provide reliable service for generations to come.

My name is Tim Daanen, and I’m proud to be the third generation leading B&D Warehouse. What started in 1950, with my grandfather’s simple but powerful belief that customers’ products should be treated with the same care and respect as if they were our own has grown into the company you see today.
Through the decades, we’ve expanded from a small, family-run warehouse into a trusted partner for businesses across the region. Each generation has carried forward the same values of reliability, integrity, and hard work, while also adapting to new challenges and opportunities.
Today, B&D Warehouse is stronger than ever. We’ve invested in modern facilities in both Green Bay and Wausau, Wisconsin, efficient systems, and a dedicated team that goes above and beyond for our customers. Whether it’s handling inventory, managing storage, or supporting complex supply chains, our mission remains the same: to keep your operations running smoothly and your products safe.
Looking back, I’m grateful for the foundation previous generations laid. Looking forward, I’m excited to see how B&D will continue to grow and support our customers for generations to come.
